Privacy Policy
Last updated 28 September 2026
This policy explains what NoteLink, LLC (“we”), which operates brae, collects when you use brae.sh and app.brae.sh, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask of us. We do not sell your data and we do not use advertising trackers.
What we collect
- Account. Your email address and a hash of your password (never the password itself), and the SSH public keys you add.
- Use of brae. The containers you start and stop, their machine, GPUs, lease times and cost, and the addresses of ports you expose.
- Money. Your balance and its history: top-ups, charges, earnings and payouts. Card and bank details go to Stripe and never reach us; we keep Stripe’s payment references. In crypto mode, the wallet addresses and transaction references involved, which are also public on the Solana blockchain.
- Machines you lend. Their hardware (GPU model, memory, driver and similar), status, uptime and usage, and the wallet you verify for payouts.
- Technical logs. IP addresses and request details in our server logs, used for security and to fix problems.
What we do not see
SSH sessions to a container are encrypted from your computer to the container: we pass them on without being able to read them. We do not look inside containers or at their files. Traffic to exposed ports is decrypted at our proxy to reach the container; we route it and do not record its content.
Why we use it
To run brae: sign you in, start and bill containers, pay providers, prevent fraud and abuse, keep the network secure, answer you, and tell you about changes to the service or these policies. We process it because it is needed for the service you asked for, to meet legal duties such as accounting, and for our legitimate interest in keeping brae safe.
Who else sees it
- Stripe, for card and bank payments and bank payouts, under Stripe’s own privacy policy.
- OVHcloud, which hosts our servers in Frankfurt, Germany, and Vercel, which hosts this website.
- Providers. The owner of a machine your container runs on sees that their machine is in use and for how long, not your name or email. Your container runs on their hardware; our terms forbid them from accessing it.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Cookies
We use one cookie, to keep you signed in. No advertising or analytics cookies. brae.sh counts page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you.
How long we keep it
Account data while your account is open. Balance history for as long as tax and accounting law requires (up to seven years). Server logs for up to 90 days. A container and its files are deleted when its lease ends.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account and the data we are not required to keep, by writing to support@brae.sh. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you have these and other rights under local law, including to complain to your data protection authority. brae is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date above changes, and we email account holders about changes that matter.
