Terms of Service

brae is a network of GPU machines: you can rent GPU time on it, or lend your own machine to it. brae is operated by NoteLink, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company at 1111B S Governors Ave STE 23059, Dover, DE 19904, United States (“we”). By creating an account or using brae you agree to these terms.

1. Your account

You need an account to rent or lend GPUs. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract; if you use brae for a company, you confirm you may bind it. Keep your password and SSH keys safe: whatever is done with your account is your responsibility. Tell us at support@brae.sh if you think someone else is using it.

2. Renting GPU time

  • Credit. You add funds to your balance in advance, by card or bank through Stripe, or in USDC if you turn on crypto mode. Prices are in US dollars per GPU-hour and are shown before you start.
  • Leases. Starting a container holds the most the lease can cost. You are charged for the minutes it actually runs, from when the machine reports it running to when it ends, rounded up to the minute; the rest of the hold returns to your balance. A container that never starts, or whose machine goes offline, costs nothing.
  • Your data. A container and its files are deleted when the lease ends or you stop it. Keep copies of anything you need. Containers run on machines owned by other people; do not put secrets there that you cannot afford to have exposed.
  • Public addresses. Ports you expose are reachable by anyone who has the address, for as long as the container runs. What you serve there is your responsibility.
  • Refunds. You can ask for unused credit back within 30 days of adding it; we return it to the card or wallet it came from. Charges for time already used are not refunded, except where the law requires.

3. Lending your GPU

  • Your machine. You may only connect machines you own or are allowed to use this way, and you are responsible for their power, network and costs.
  • Renters’ privacy. When you offer a machine for hire, strangers run containers on it. You must not access, copy, inspect or interfere with their containers, files or traffic, or modify the brae agent to do so.
  • Earnings. You earn 80 % of what renters pay for time on your machine; brae keeps 20 %. Earnings can be paid out from $10, to your bank or in USDC in crypto mode. Taxes on your earnings are yours to report and pay.
  • Bonds. When bonds are introduced, a machine is listed for hire only while its bond (in dollars from your balance, or SIMD in crypto mode) is in place. A bond is returned 7 days after you ask for it back. It can be taken, in part or in full, for tampering, accessing renters’ containers, or repeatedly abandoning leases, under the rules published at brae.sh before bonds start. A bond earns nothing.

4. Crypto mode

Crypto mode lets you add funds and receive payouts in USDC on Solana. Blockchain transfers cannot be reversed: funds sent to a wrong address, or without the payment reference we give you, may be lost. We only receive USDC; we do not buy, sell or exchange any token for you, and the SIMD token is used on brae only for bonds.

5. What you may not do

  • Anything illegal, or content that exploits children, infringes others' rights, or is used to harass or defraud.
  • Malware, spam, phishing, or attacks on any system, including other renters, providers' machines and networks, and brae itself.
  • Trying to break out of a container, get around its limits, or reach a provider's network.
  • Mining cryptocurrency.
  • Paying with a card or account you are not allowed to use.

We may stop a container, suspend an account, or hold a balance or payout while we look into a breach of these terms or suspected fraud, and close accounts that break them. Where the law allows, we tell you why.

6. The service

brae is provided as it is. Machines belong to independent providers and can go offline; we do not promise that any machine, container or result will be available, uninterrupted or correct. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before it, and we are not liable for lost data, profits or indirect damages.

7. Changes, law and contact

We may change these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and we tell account holders by email about changes that matter. Continuing to use brae after a change means you accept it. You can close your account at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, and disputes go to the courts of Delaware, unless the law of your country gives you the right to use your own courts.
